The Township of Edgewater Park encourages all residents with dogs or cats in need of rabies vaccination updates or close to the expiration of their current rabies vaccination to attend the Free Rabies Clinic. Dog licenses for the year 2019 will be issued at the clinic see below for fees.

Dogs must be licensed annually during the month of January. All Dogs – seven months of age or older – are required by New Jersey law to be licensed and vaccinated for rabies. There is also a limit on the number of dogs and cats that are permitted in a residence. Any residence may contain only a total of six dogs or cats altogether, except that a litter or portion there-of may be kept for a period of five months without a permit issued by the board of health annually.
